I have a cablemodem supplied by Casema. With incredible topspeeds of almost 2.5K (Source: Consumerdesk) and pingtimes of just below 300 ms on good days it's the best ISP one could wish for.
Just try to play a on-line game (like XPilot) with 300 ms. You press <shoot>, you wait 0.3 seconds, you actually shoot. That doesn't seem much, but this doubles your reactiontime.
Just look at this :

But wait that isn't all!
There is more, I haven't mentioned the fabulous helpdesk.
According to WIGG (Wanadoo Internet Users Group) they have only answered
about 25% of their e-mails.
Though I personally have sent about 15 and got 2 replies. Maybe I should
be nicer in my e-mails to them. I really really try to be as nice
as possible, but it's hard...
And now of course the reason why I still have them as my ISP.
They are the only one who offer flat-fee Internet, meaning I
only have to pay once a month a constant amount. No matter how much I am
on-line (a lot :-). They still ask € 27,05 a month, but I only have to
pay them 3/4 of that because of their lousy performance. HA!
Unfortunately they claim they are now good enough to ask for € 27,05 again. True, speed has gone up a little. I can actually get 3.0Kb/s now, but every day the connection is lost at least 5 times. Extremely annoying.
So I send them this e-mail ... No repsonse.
